About the workshop
We will begin with movement — then go deep into conversation and practice where we will:
- Learn about and explore the philosophy & energetics of pranayama
- Examine and discover the anatomy of breath
- Learn some pranayama practices and look at how to weave them into classes and/or your personal practice
You'll learn and practice samavritti pranayama, explore several foundational techniques, and leave with a clear framework for weaving this work into your classes, private sessions, and personal practice.
Expect our time to be interactive & unhurried along with real conversation.

Marcia Hoffheins
With over 25 years of teaching experience, Marcia brings a rare depth of knowledge, passion, and presence to every class she leads. Her background spans Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar fundamentals, Hot Yoga, mobility conditioning, pranayama, meditation, Yin, and authentic yogic practices. Known for her deep understanding of anatomy and her ability to guide both brand-new students and seasoned practitioners, Marcia creates classes that are both intelligent and inspiring.
